On 9th April, the Jammu and Kashmir Police filed a
chargesheet against eight accused in the case of crual gangrape and then murder
of a minor girl of Kathua. According to the chargesheet, the vandalism of the
accused is astonishing.
There has been a tension in Jammu on the issue of crual
gangrape and then murder of an eight-year-old minor girl of Bakkarwal
community. Politics is getting bigger on this and local Bar Association's
'amazingly' performance is being performed in favor of the accused. The association
has called for the closure today by stating the action of the police as
"the target of minority Dogra".
They are demanding the investigation of the gang rape and
subsequent action by the CBI. At the same time the state police filed a case
against the lawyers who allegedly attempted to stop them from filing
chargesheets against the accused.
Two BJP ministers of Mehbooba Mufti Government Lal Singh and
Chandra Prakash Ganga have questioned the role of the police. The victim, who
belongs to the Muslim community, had disappeared from his house built in
forests near Rasna village of Kathua, 90 kilometers away from here on January
10. A week later, his body was found near the nearby area and the gang-rape was
detected in medical examination. In the initial investigation, the police
caught a minor. The case was later handed over to the Crime Branch of the Jammu
and Kashmir Police.
On 9th April the Jammu and Kashmir Police filed an 18-page
chargesheet against eight accused in the case. During this, the lawyers tried
to stop them. There were skirmishes during this period. If the chargesheet is
believed then the vandalism of the accused is astonishing. According to the
charge sheet, a minor accused gave information about the kidnapping of another
accused Vishal Jangotra and told him that if he wants to quench his lust, then
come soon from Meerut. The huge jangotra reached Rasna village of Kathua. After
that the accused went to the temple where the hungry stomach girl was given a
drunken tablet. He was raped many times. After this, one accused said that now
the child is to be killed and to hide the dead body, then a police officer
Deepak Khajuria, involved in the investigation of this gang rape, told the
accused that he would wait a bit, he too wants to erase the lust.
Then an eight-year-old girl was gang-raped. Her stones were
stabbed and strangled. On 15th January the body was thrown into the jungle.
According to the charge sheet, the police took a bribe of 1.5 lakh rupees from
the mother of the minor to save him from the case.
According to the charge sheet, the girl's father filed a
case in the Hiranagar police station on January 12. According to his complaint,
around 10.30 pm on January 10, his daughter went to the forest to take a horse
for a horse. After which she did not return. After their complaint, the police
filed an FIR. After that, the investigation was entrusted to the Crime Branch
from the local police in view of the public resentment. There was a lot of
ruckus in the assembly too. People carried flags and displayed in favor of the
accused. Then Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mahbuba Mufti had said, "I
am stunned by the performance and the march in the rescue of the criminals
caught in the Kathua".
According to the crime branch, head constable Tilak Raj and
sub-inspector Anand Dutta were also arrested in connection with rape and murder
in Asifa. Datta was earlier the investigating officer of this case. Sources
said that the investigator policeman damaged important evidence. The sources
had said that the clothes worn by the victim had been washed before delivery to
the crime branch.
The gang rape was done before killing an eight-year-old girl
in Rasana village of Hiranagar in Kathua district. The extent of the meanness
came when Special Police Officer Deepak Khajuria expressed his desire to commit
a crime once again before the murder of the girl.
This is stated in the 15-page charge sheet filed by the
police in the Chief Judicial Magistrate's Court on Monday. The girl of
Bakkarwal family was missing on Jan 10 in Rasana forest and her body was
recovered on 17 January. There is also a minor in eight people arrested in this
case.
According to the chargesheet, due to the removal of
Bakkarwal community from their land, Sanjima Ram had conspired to kidnap, rape
and murder of the girl. The girl was kept on the Devasthan in Rasana village.
Police SP Deepak Khajuria, Surendra Verma, his friend Entrak Kumar, Sanjhi
Ram's minor nephew and son Vishal Jangotra were involved. In the chargesheet,
the name of the Assistant Sub Inspector Anand Dutta and Constable Tilak Raj is
also named. He is allegedly accused of destroying important evidence by taking
Rs four lakh rupees.
Anger also on
Twitter about this incident
Tennis player Sania Mirza tweeted, "If we can not stand
together for this eight-year-old girl, then we will never be able to stand up
for anything. Not even for humanity.
Mehbooba Mufti has tweeted that the actions of some group
people to break the law and non-responsible statements will not be tolerated.
The appropriate legal action is being taken in the matter and it will be heard
soon in the fast track court.
